#UNLINK ROCKSTAR SOCIAL CLUB FROM STEAM UPDATE#
I'll make a ticket later today, maybe tomorrow and I'll update this thread if I get the issue resolved.Get the copy of GTA 5 on your PC if you are desirous to exploring Los Santos in the game along with wreak havoc! The version of Steam and Rockstar on Uplay, and Social Club, is barring the path. After seeing how GTA Online turned out in the present day, I don't have any intention of buying GTA 6. I got banned in 2016, and I've seen in the thread you linked people got their accounts deleted where they were banned in 2015. I'd rather they just deleted my entire account than have it there permabanned. Although I do miss the convenience, I just hate seeing it in my library knowing its permanently banned and supposedly permanently linked to my Steam. Although, it isn't even just for the convenience of having it through Steam. This information has been really helpful, thanks man. Maybe someone else has those files and is allowed to share them?

(Edit3) Haven't found those files yet, the new Rockstar Social Club Launcher always wants to open Epic Games Launcher and the game download button on the website also dosent exist anymore it got replaced by a View Progress button. (Edit2) And another old comment this sounds more like something I would have done.

(Edit1) I found something interesting, this guy here also wrote something about replacing files, I'll try to find out more. Or something else like replacing the game.exe with a different/cracked one maybe?Ĭould have made that the Rockstar social club launcher did rest and I could log in with a new account back then.Īll I remember is that I had GTA V from steam, got banned online and then bought a cheap Rockstar social club key from mmoga which I used to create a new Rockstar social club account and I was able to play with it on steam again with my main account. Maybe reinstalling social Rockstar club and/or deleting registry entries (like mentioned here ) You can now unlink your steam account from your social club account!Ĭontacting support is something which I wouldn’t have done because that would mean I had to tell them that I cheated in their game which is a no go for me lol

I can say that it was possible because I did it once but it was like 5 years ago when the game was new and I got banned the first time, I don’t know if it is still possible, I can't even remember the exact steps how I did it.įollowing the thread below you have to contact support to ask them to unlink your account, I can't remember if did this too or if back then there was some other way of unlinking the accounts.

I know the following information may not going to be really helpful but still. My question is: Have any of you done anything similar? Is ban/account data held by Steam or Rockstar? I'd hate to make a new account and link it to find my data for the banned account is still there, but from what I've gathered it looks like all account data for GTA Online/other games is held by Social Club. I know it sounds a bit ridiculous, but I hate seeing GTA V in my Steam library knowing its been slapped with a ban for years. Activating that key on a new Social Club account made on my original Steam after the old account is deleted. Making a second Steam account to buy GTA V in order to get another activation key.ģ. Requesting unlinking of my Steam account from the Social Club accountĢ. I've heard it is possible to unlink a Steam and Social Club account, so what I'm thinking of doing is this:ġ. Can't remember the last time I properly played without a menu, but one of my biggest blunders was getting the Social Club account linked to my Steam banned. I've played GTA a long time, and as soon as it came out on PC I was on the hackerman lane.
